Bongaigaon District Administration in collaboration with District Sports and Youth Affairs department today organised Yuva Utsav in Birjhora Public Library, BongaigaonSri Nabadeep Pathak, Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon gave the welcome speech.Smt Simi Karan, SDO(C), North Salmara, Smt Luna Sonowal, Addl SP, Bongaigaon, Smt Chandana Choudhury, Public Prosecutor, Dr Oli Chakraborty,Deputy Superintendent of Bongaigaon Civil Hospital, participated in the discussion forum and put forward their views on the menaces of Child Marriage.Students from various Colleges of the district participated in the Youth Festival, wherein different programmes like dance, chorus, a drama on child marriage, recitation, etc were also organised.Awards were given to winners of various competitions which were held among veteran women players, Professors, teachers, students of the district as a part of Youth Festval. Sports materials were also distributed to Sports Association of Women of the district.Sri Mogen Narah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Smt Navanita Hazarika, Election Officer, Smt.Shyamasree Saikia, Assistant Commissioner supervised the program.
